Working with the Cyrenians

Yesterday was one of the most exciting days yet for the project. We went to meet with the CEO of the Cyrenians charity to discuss the possibility of building the wind turbine for them. The design teams produced some great drawings to show them what we are building, to give an idea of the scale of the project. These will serve to give others a clear idea what we are building.

The staff at Cyrenians were extremely enthusiastic about our project. The wind turbine would give them access to electricity at one of their off grid green spaces in Edinburgh. They will be able to charge power tools and laptops, have some basic lighting and most importantly boil the kettle for a brew. Their gardens are an important part of the work they do. By creating a community based around the gardens, they help people get back on their feet and turn their lives around.

We are really excited to start working with them and will be going to see the location in 2 weeks time. Hopefully, by 2020 we will be providing free, clean electricy for a great cause!
